1. Who controls your data

Check My Energy Levels is responsible for how personal information is used on Check My Energy Levels.

2. Information we collect

Questionnaire answers about sleep, food, stress, caffeine, symptoms, habits, hormones, medication categories and blood-test gaps.
Your email address so we can unlock, deliver or resend your report.
A record of your explicit health-data consent, including the consent version and time it was recorded.
Payment metadata from Stripe, such as payment status, checkout session ID and payment intent ID. We do not store full card details.
Technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, logs and security events.
Messages you send us through support or contact channels.

3. Why we use the information

To create your preview and paid energy report.
To deliver the report link and PDF download.
To process payment, prevent fraud and keep the service secure.
To provide support, handle refunds and respond to requests.
To improve the service using aggregated or non-identifying information where possible.
To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.

4. Health-related answers

Some questionnaire answers reveal health-related information. We process those answers only after you provide a separate explicit consent statement, and only to create the educational preview and report you requested, maintain report access and provide support.

We do not sell your questionnaire answers. We do not use them to diagnose you. We do not use them for targeted advertising.

5. Legal bases

For the preview and report service you request, our general lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b): processing necessary to provide the service or take steps at your request. For health-related questionnaire information, our special-category condition is your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a).

We may also rely on legal obligations for accounting or regulatory records and legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention and customer support.

You may withdraw health-data consent by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and we will assess what information must be deleted or retained for limited legal reasons.

6. Service providers

We may use trusted providers to run the service, including hosting/database providers, Stripe for payments, Brevo or another email provider for report delivery, and OpenAI or another AI provider to help generate report wording.

These providers process information only so the service can work, and not so they can sell your data.

7. International processing

Some providers may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where that happens, we aim to rely on appropriate safeguards required by data protection law.

8. How long we keep data

We keep report and payment records for as long as needed to provide access, handle support, meet legal/accounting obligations and protect against misuse.

You can ask us to delete your report data, subject to legal, tax, security or dispute-resolution reasons that may require us to keep limited records.

9. Your rights

Ask for a copy of your personal information.
Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Ask us to delete information where legally possible.
Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
